Future of AmeriCorps Uncertain

Spectrum News | Reuben Jones | July 30, 2025 -- This story (news segment and web article) covers the state of AmeriCorps funding and the impact on local recovery efforts. Ginny Allison, Volunteer Engagement Manager for United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, was interviewed for the piece. Following the storm, we hosted 16 AmeriCorps members and placed them with local response organizations.
